Easter Cracker

I thought this would be different to do compared to the normal easter eggs, biscuits etc etc.
I basically used a template of a christmas cracker, and cut out the design onto card stock. I inserted the snapper in the cracker then wrapped some strippy wrapping paper around it. I added some small various chocolate eggs inside along with various other sweets. I tied some ribbon around each end of the cracker & added a topper of a chick to the cracker.

I would like to enter this into Emma's Crafty Challenge which this months theme is stripes.

Engagement Card 3

With this card I made a gate fold base card using maroon colour card.  I mounted some patterned paper onto maroon card then green card & these were then mounted onto either side of the gate fold card.
The greeting/poem on the inside of the card was first mounted onto green card leaving a narrow border then mounted inside the base card. Again, a very unusual clour.

Engagement Card 2

After doing todays challenge card, I decided to make another 2 more cards. Quite unusual for me as I normally only get 1 done at night when the children are in bed.

With this card I made a base card in a maroon colour. I then took some brown card & punched a border on either side. On this I mounted some patterned paper of birds, vines & hearts. To complete the card I added some maroon ribbon & 3 paper hearts. I think this is very different to many engagement cards - especially the colours as they are unusual

Engagement Card

After hearing what todays challenge was on Ditzy-Craftymess (Facebook), I just had to enter this into the competition.

Here I made a 14.5x14.5cm base card. i printed a piece of gold congratulations paper as backing paper & mounted it onto gold mirri card. I then cut another piece of gold mirri card & embossed it with a hearts embossing folder using my bigshot. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the left hand side, tied a bow on the front, then fixed the panel to the left hand side of the base card.
I cut out champagne topper, mounted this onto gold mirri card & positioned this  on the right of the base card over lapping the embossed gold mirri card. Finally, I printed wedding rings & mounted this on the base card next to the champagne glasses. The end result is fab although I feel there was alot more I could have added but ran out of time.

Butterfly label birthday card

The base card measures 4.5x4.5 inch. I used the nestabilities label 1 die, cut the biggest from holographic card, the nest same colour as the base card, the next a light green card. I then tied a narrow piece of ribbon around the middle & mounted these onto the base card. The sentiment I heat embossed on a small label & mounted this onto the card. I punched out 4 butterflies of different colours & edged them in fine glitter. In the corners of each label I mounted little flowers

Thank you teacher

It really gets to my head when your children give you a few days notice saying mum, I've got x amount of teachers you need to make cards for & x amount are male teachers. At this stage, it was doing my head in as making cards for men is not so easy.

Here, I took a DL card used it landscape. I layered it with some shiny holographic card  leaving a slight border around it. I then used my cricut to cut out the THANK YOU teacher & mounted these onto the holographic card. At quick thinking, this card took me no more than half an hour to do. Job done & satisfied :-)

Crafty Leonie: Thank you button card

Crafty Leonie: Thank you button card

Thank you button card

I had found it very difficult trying to make a Thank you card for a male teacher in September last year when my son had finished year 6.
Here, I used a tall card at landscape. I cut 3 squares from holographic card & centred them across the card but slightly overlapping each other. I then took some off-cuts I had & put these onto the holographic squares. To complete the squares I thought it would be rather unusual to see buttons on cards, so that's what I did. In both bottom corners of the card I cut holographic card at an angle to make corners. To complete the card, I used bubble letters that spells thank you.

Party Time Wedding Invite

With this card I cut a piece of mirri card measuring 11.1 x 9.5cms. I cut a piece of white card measuring 11.1 x 6cms & embossed them both with a valentines heart embossing folder. I put the white card above the gold card & wrapped a thin piece of ribbon around to conceal the join between the 2 pieces of card.

I then printed out some party champagne glasses tracing around my labels 1 frame & cut it out by hand. A piece of gold mirri card was then cut by hand using the next size die up & a piece of white card was then cut by hand with the biggest size die. All of these were then fixed together using silicon glue & was then fixed on the gold card towards the top of the centre panel.

The sentiment was then printed & cut, double mounted onto a piece of gold embossed card then white card.

Just married Card

With this card I took A4 card & folded it in half to get a A5 landscape blank card. I mounted gold mirri card to the base card, then mounted a light green paper on the gold card, with a thin border of white flowers. All this was then put onto the base card.

The oval flowers were decoupaged using silicon glue & mounted onto a oval gold mirri card. The sentiment was mounted onto round mirri card, to complete the card.
As I don't have any fancy things to cut the oval or round shapes, I used my crafting scissors & this has left staggered egdes around the shapes. I must invest in whatever item I need to cut fancy shapes without leaving staggered edges.

Decoupaged card

I forgot all about this decoupage set from Papermania that I received from a friend last year xmas. I decoupaged the card using silicon glue, added the frame with double foam pads then finished the card with adding glitter highlights to the xmas stocking & the leaves. What a fab card for any enchanted fan.

Wedding Invitation 4

With this card I embossed the base card with hearts. I then took Papermania Capsules collection & cut it into a circle. This was then layered onto a gold scalloped circle then a pink circle. All this was put onto the base card. To complete the card I added gems to each point where the scallopes meet. Should have put a bit of organza ribbon on it, but unfortunately I ran out. Non the less, it's still a simple yet elegant wedding invite I think.

Wedding Invitation 3

I had some patterned wedding paper over from my last invitation I had made, so decided I was going to use it. I took a light purple card base measuring 24cmx16cm.  I folded 8cm on the left hand side of the card and put some ribbon around the centre.
I punched the edge of the patterned wedding paper on both sides and layered this down the left hand side over the ribbon. I glitter highlighted the rose and the punched egdes.
I then heat embossed the sentiment "Wedding Invitation" in gold and heat embossed the Wedding rings in gold.

Wedding Invite 2

A friend from school days saw my cards & requested I make her wedding invitations in lime green & pink. Quite unusual colors I think, so tonight I got down to making a practice card although I never used lime green.

I took some wedding patterned paper & embossed it with hearts through my bigshot. I punched the edges with a edge punch. This was then layered onto pink card, then green card and finally onto the base card. In the middle of the wedding papers I heat embossed "Wedding Invitation" in gold. To complete the card I added 2 gems on either side on the wording.

Spring Fling Birthday Card

I am just loving these papers from Kate Knight spring fling....they are ever so pretty with the big flowers.
Don't ask me what I was planning on doing because I never had an idea at the time lol, but I created something from it.
Here, I layered the paper on gold mirri card & this was glued onto the card base. The front of the card left hand side I used gold mirri card & light pink paper. On top of that again is gold mirri card with light pink paper. I heat embossed some birthday cakes in gold, added some butterflies which were egded with fine glitter. The sentiment was heat embossed on light pink paper & this was layered onto a round gold mirri card.

Spring Fling Card

This is a card I made today. The papers are from Kate Knight Spring Fling. I layered the paper onto gold mirri card & put this on the card base. I then punched out some butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch & added ultra fine glitter around the edges. The sentiment was heat embossed onto the tag.
